Dentsu America has been selected by oneworld, worldwide airline alliance, as its global agency of record.
The appointment follows a multi-agency review that began in February, Dentsu America is now responsible for oneworld’s strategic brand messaging and creative development as well as media planning duties worldwide.

OgilvyOne has appointed Annette King as CEO of OgilvyOne Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME). She will continue to be based in London where she will take on the role of Chairman, OgilvyOne UK. She will continue, as well, reporting to Paul O’Donnell, Chairman, OgilvyOne EAME and Group Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather UK.

Dentsu Inc. announced today the establishment of two new Dentsu Group companies, Promo Tec India Private Limited and PT. Promo Tec Indonesia.
Both companies, which will start operations in June, are subsidiaries of Promo Tec Pte. Ltd., a company established in Singapore last October as a subsidiary of Dentsu Tec Inc. to accelerate the Dentsu Group’s growth strategy in Asia and meet increasing client needs in the region’s sales promotion field.

Just after Razorfish acquisition of Longtuo this week, the agency is aligning their commerce centers of excellence under one global leader, Paul do Forno, who hs been appointed SVP Multi Channel Commerce.

He will be based in Razorfish’s Chicago office.
41 years old do Forno joins the agency from retail and commerce leaders such as NCR Corporation, SapientNitro, and Deloitte Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Math in Joint Honors Mathematics/Business Administration with Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

The new SVP Multi Channel Commerce will be reporting to Shannon Denton, Executive Sponsor of Razorfish’s Commerce Practice.

“Many of our clients see digitally-enabled commerce as the key lever for global revenue growth,” said Bob Lord, Global CEO of Razorfish. “Bringing together our various centers of excellence under one integrated team greatly accelerates Razorfish’s ability to bring global consumer insights, scale, and commerce innovation to our clients around the world.”

The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) today announced that Larry Kimmel has resigned as CEO to join the agency Hawkeye.
Kimmel will continue as President Emeritus of the DMA and will serve in a senior advisory capacity to help with the transition.
DMA’s Executive Vice President of Washington Operations, Linda Woolley, becomes the organization’s acting President and CEO.
The Direct Marketing Association (www.the-dma.org) is the world’s largest global trade association of businesses and nonprofit organizations using and supporting multichannel direct marketing tools and techniques.
Following the data provided by the DMA, around $168.5Bn will be invested by commercial and non profit organisations on direct marketing, which accounts for 52.7% of all ad expenditures in the United States.
These advertising expenditures will generate approximately $2.05 trillion in incremental sales.
